That’s me
Marco Corradi
The translator’s task is not to merely transfer a text from the source language into the target language, but to render it so that it considers all cultural differences and peculiarities. The translator must be able to not only recognise each nuance of the words in the source text, but to allocate them to their respective context.
Above all, this requires intercultural competence: the ability to assess both the source language and the target language in their respective contexts. Preparing a translation that matches the original in terms of both language and style requires solid linguistic training, but also an instinct that only a native speaker can claim

Prices
Explanations of my prices
Prices are based on the translation’s scope and degree of difficulty. After you send me your source text via email, I’ll send you a non-binding offer. This offer will be based on the number of words of the text to be translated. The average price per word for a translation is 0.10 euros from Italian to German, and 0.12 euros from English to German. So my prices are below average – my goal is not to make a quick profit, but to build long-term business relationships. Unlike many of my colleagues, I do not charge surcharges for express or weekend work, but notify you in advance of the deadline I will need in order to prepare a high-quality translation.
